In Memoriam

George L. Grossman

1934 – 2016

George founded InterPrint Corporation — the firm that, in partnership with the National Sheriffs’ Association, became the National Neighborhood Watch Institute. He served as an officer in the United States Air Force, led two Rotary clubs, carried the District Governor’s office across Southern California, and represented Rotary internationally in Switzerland, Brazil, and Germany.

He lived by the Rotary motto: Service Above Self. The National Neighborhood Watch Institute’s own motto — We Look Out For Each Other — is the community-watch expression of that same conviction.

In Honor Of

Carlene Herd Grossman

Sixty-one years at George’s side

Carlene is the author of Miracles Along the Hard Road — a book about resilience along the longest possible road back to oneself, and about the people who walk it together. The story she tells and the work NNWI carries forward are two passages of the same hymn: small, durable acts of care that no system manufactures and every community depends on.

Her book is the household voice of the same ethic her husband’s company put to civic work. Service Above Self. Miracles along the hard road. Both belong here.

The work continues in their name.
